Preserve the approved sound
Supply the approved stereo mix at its native resolution and explain any intentional mix-bus processing. If a limiter was used only to make a review copy louder, send an un-limited alternative when available. Creative compression and final loudness limiting are not the same decision.
Specify the release
List titles, sequence, gaps and any clean, instrumental or alternate versions. Ask the label or distributor for its current requirements rather than treating a historical tutorial as a permanent platform specification.
Compare fairly
Listen to reference and review files at similar perceived volume. A louder file is not automatically a more suitable master. Report technical faults separately from preferences about brightness, bass or dynamics.
Check the final files
Verify names, order, duration and the agreed format before publication. Keep your own backups; the studio’s project archive is limited to 12 months. The historical references support source preparation and listening checks; current mastering deliverables must be agreed with the engineer and distributor.
